Starbucks moved down the road to University a little while back, and I've driven by a "Gloria Jean's coming soon!" sign for much too long. I finally stopped in today, and I'd recommend it pretty highly.

Starbucks, regardless of what a lot of people say, has pretty good drinks all-around, I think... it's just expensive. Based on my one visit here, I think the drinks may be better at a similar price. I'm not sure how well Gloria Jean's will catch on with so many university kids tenting their trousers at Starbucks, but they're missing out -- the Pistachio Cream Chiller and High Voltage Mocha Chiller are both excellent drinks.

The High Voltage Mocha is blended with bits of espresso beans so you get little nuggets of bittery goodness every other sip. They were pricey at $5 for a 12oz small, but you get quite a bit of caffeine and an honestly really great tasting drink. Not an every day stop for a cash strapped OU student like myself, but the place is inviting, the coffee is good, and the workers are very friendly and helpful.

Between Starbucks and Gloria's, Jean's reigns supreme.

Cute little coffee shop close by to my school.  This use to be a Starbucks.  Tea was great and played chess with a friend during our break.  Will definitely be trying the dessert next time I come in.  Sweet staff also!

First time here and I am pleasantly surprised! I never gave this place a chance since it's so small and out of the way but it is a lovely place to study and enjoy some good quality coffee. I got the vanilla caramel latte and the quality of the ingredients is readily apparent. The barista even left a little leaf shape in the foam which was a nice aesthetic touch. Go here if ur looking for a mellow place to relax with good coffee.

What a cozy coffee shop! Especially on a chilly wet day. Hubby had a latte and I had a large-size medium-roast coffee and added my own unsweetened soy milk. (My only tiny complaint was they didn't have an unflavored unsweetened soy but did have a vanilla flavor.) We both agreed, "Great coffee." We didn't stay for a sit-down time but it did look like a good spot to do so. Definitely better coffee than at our hotel!
